trackback
Corey Ribotsky is the head of The NIR Group, LLC., which runs a “Family of Funds” for investors to invest their money and be able to make good returns. Some of the activities that The NIR Group have been involved in over the years of their investment activities have been hedge funds.
The basic ideas behind a hedge fund are two. Firstly, each fund declares its aim, strategies, and financial spheres of activities. So each fund is unique and carefully defined so that the investor knows exactly what he is getting into. Secondly, the funds uses certain investments to secure other investments to account for possible losses. This is called hedging, and it means that the fund will try and offset the risk of investments in certain spheres by using a number of different strategies. Most notably, short selling is one of the methods used to do this.
Successful hedge funds – as well as general investment funds, like Ribotsky’s NIR Group – can do a lot for the investment manager, the investor, and the fund itself.
